So I put a rox 2" bar riser on and want to use some type of bar pad insted of the factory foam and cover deal.

Those who have done this, what the heck did you do with all those plug connections. There is no way those things will fit inside plastic wire loom.

Did you cut them and attach new connectors under the tank cowl?

Any other ideas? LaLaLa

Then I get the bars where I like the feel and my new hand gaurds aren't even close to clearing the windshield. Time to try a different windshield, might be a colder ride this season.

:rocks: ;)!

i was lookin at the new nytro today, and seems like yammie got smart and put all the connecters to the wires down from the handelbars, and right above the engine. i was gonna put some blue 1" plastic hose around my wires-but didnt even think bout all the damn connecters. i might have to do some re-arranging

I'm seriously considering fly bars and a riser. If I do I will be cutting the wires and on the handle bar side of the connectors and putting them under the tank cowling. Then splice the wires back together and using 1/4" ID wire loom from each side going to a tee connector with a 3/8" ID wire loom going down between the two risers. I also plan on using velcro type wire wraps instead of wire ties. I found all the stuff I wanted at www.cableorganizer.com/wire-loom/colored.html.

It seems like a ton of work to cut and splice all those wires and do it so everything holds together. You will have twice as many splices if you first cut them were the plugs are and then have to add wire to reach back up from under the dash.

Maybe you can get a wire harness from a mountian rx1.

i might jsut try some black zipties and do several plastic tubes...like 2 on each side? that might work
