Okay, I gotta ask - why is Yamaha putting a barometer on the new Apex/Attak sleds? Most likely, the barometer has something to do with the EFI, but, seriously, who cares what the barometer reading is? Rather than a barometer, Yamaha, how's about an engine temp. gauge?

It's there because of the FI so they figured; "why not display it". I myself would rather have a sports ticker to keep on eye on the Red Wings score

Heck, you could see the pressure drop and figure there must be a snowstorm moving in.
I would have liked to see outside temp, and a compass. The clock is nice, on the right track.

I bet they will keep adding thing every year to the gauge . My bet in 07 they will add engine temp. Than in 08 air temp and boost meter to go along with the stock turbo. Than in 09 a totaly new gauge with GPS along with a all new body and engine.

If you put it in diagnostic mode you can read coolant temp, oil temp intake air temp, tps.& a few more

Its got a dummy light, which is all you need for engine temp when riding. Seriously... if its not overheating, who cares?
