I picked up a new non-current 09 base Phazer this fall for a heck of a deal even though I was really wanting a GT. But after a few hundred miles on the trails I'm thinking of trying to get a smoother ride for my old man body. The 09 base doesn't seem to ride near as well as our 07 Mountain Lite, and maybe I'm spoiled from riding the Venture so much.
Any thoughts on shock replacements? Maybe replace with the standard GT shocks? or something aftermarket? Thanks for any advice.

How do you ride and what end of the sled feels stiff?

I ride "groomed" trails mostly, and when the grooming isn't all that good (like last weekend), the front end is noticeably rougher.

Get the Fox Floats that came stock on the front of certain Phazers. $195 a piece + $28 for the pump from Seattle Sports Plaza.
Thats a great deal!
