Anybody ever have to upgrade their power due to too many toys drawing off the system? If so what did you go to? I am now getting worried about the draw from the MPI kit controls, Meth kitcontrols, 35W HID lights, LED lights, helmet plug, all of the fuel and ignition controls, and the hand warmers all running. It now takes about 2 hours to change the darn plugs with all of this. Would hate to foul one due to a lack of starting power, or draining the sled. Won't look good to show up to a place for a beverage, and apimped out sled won't start either. Thinking of taking some of the LED's off to limit some draw. Looking at a larger battery, but concerned if the alternator will keep up during the day. Any suggestions???

Maybe have a 2nd battery with a isolation switch just in case your other batt wont start it.

Talked to the dealer, and they said you can go to a 20 for the battery. What about the alternator? Ay issues with to much draw, and it then messing up the whole system?

LED's don't draw sheet for juice, I wouldn't worry about them, HID is typically more eficient then halogen as well, bring a set of jumpers, allways a good thing to have.

Sounds great. I will just go with the larger 20 battery, and see what happens. Thanks for the help guys

The standard output of the magneto is 460W @ 5000 RPM. The fuel injection system is a big user of the available wattage. For the headlights; watts are watts. If you're going to a 35W system that's 20-25 watts less per bulb than the standard, but with you'll lose some of this gain to the ballast (wattage is not a measure of light output). The battery should only be used at starting. If you're draining it while the sled is running you've got too much going on and a higher amp-hr rating isn't going to get you much farther down the trail.
