2007 Attak with 4500 miles. Many starts in -20C weather so I am getting a bit paranoid about the battery for the upcoming season, although it hasn't failed me yet! Is there an upgrade to the stock Yuasa battery? A battery with more cranking amps that will still fit?

You might want to look at one of the Optimas

Anyone have a source /part number for an AGM style battery for Apex/Attak? Does Interstate carry one?

You might want to try a goggle search on AGM Batteries and then take your pick.

Heck just go to Walmart and pick one up. I put one each in our sleds and they worked great and kept their charge throughout the summer.

You guys got me to thinking, so today I put my APEX on the charger thinking it has been sitting around for a year. (2009 LTX GT) Hardly took a charge at all, down to zero on the AMP meter in about 4 minutes. Battery appears to be very lively to me. I'll leave it on the charger, on a timer, and keep charging it every day until I ride, which might be awhile with this warm weather we've been experiencing in southern WI.
