Wondering what kind of battery life everone is getting? I usually replace my truck batteries after 5 years. I've got an '07 RTX and I would rather be safe than sorry. Thanks.

Just purchase a new battery for my 06 apex, I had no problem with my current battery, but after 5 years I didn't want to take any chances, when I change my oil I'll replace my battery, then use my old battery in my riding mower.

I have an 06 Apex GT and replaced this year for the first time. It still seemed fine but I was getting some very intermittent yellow light flashing (with no codes) and could not figure it out over a period of a week. I dismantled everything on the sled looking for a short or bad connection and could not resolve it as it continued to be intermittent. I changed the battery simply because the sled was four years old and thought it may be time. After replacing the battery it not only felt like a stronger start of the motor turning over, my intermittent issue never came back and I rode all year without incident. Go ahead and replace it for peace of mind for next year.

I have the original battery in my 03 rX-1 Turbo but it,s starting to get kinda weak.

06 Apex GT. Original battery.

Holds charge and starts every time. I charge it once over the summer and sled is run up every 6 weeks for 10 minutes in the off season.

I still have the original battery in my 06 Apex Mtn - 4600 miles and no issues at all. I top the battery off several times during the summer with my battery tender charger.

07 Attak GT, still original battery, using an optimate 4 to maintain, never any problems.

2 - 07 RTXs still on original batteries, no problems, don't charge over the summer, just start them up every 6 weeks or so for about 4-5 min.

04 Warrior, Original battery, always on a Battery Tender!
Just past a Load Test with Flying Colors!

If I had an 06 Apex that lost its charge over summer and needed to be jumped would that mean there is a problem..doesn't yamaha recommend a trickle charger??

Thanks

Optimate Charger.. end of story!!!

The biggest secret of a battery LIFE is to keep it on a GOOD quality tender 12 month a year and it'll last forever!!! ;)! My budy's '05 is still going strong!
