Doing my breakin service and noticed my belt appears to need some adjustment. I think this should be slightly above the top of the sheaves.

How do I make this adjustment and what's needed?

Yes. Stock belt. Manual says no more than 1.5mm above and no less than 0.5mm below the edge. I thought mine looked to be sitting too low in secondary.

You think its ok?

By your picture I think its beyond adjustment. I would try a different belt. if its still that low you may have a clutch problem

Thought it looked low to me. I can swap the belt with a spare and see where it's riding

Anyone else with stock riding this low?

Take the belt off and just set it in the clutch. I bet secondary is just not fully closed. If you dont want to do that try putting sled in reverse and then let it coast to a stop. See where it is then.

Looks pretty darn low. Clutch looks clean though. How many miles on it?

Put it on a track stand and roll the secondary slowly by hand. Then check deflection. Try to get a good picture of the belt between the sheaves when pressing with finger.

If it's loose start adding washers to the deflection screws and retest.

Thanks, Iwas able to roll it a bit an it did move upward in the sheaves this morning. Was short on time and will look it over more tonight.

Took belt off and cleaned up clutches. Belt is sitting level with sheaves now. Looked like I had an issue but it's good to go.
