Just put the belt back on my '17 Sidewinder Ltx le and wondering if it's too tight. I have the barn of parts adjuster tool. I basically put it back on the same way it came off with the same number of turns. The secondary does creep a bit, but belt is only sitting a tad-not even 1/16 above the sheaves.) For some reason I can't post a video, but I can send it to someone if you could help a guy out. Thoughts?

I would say your in ball park mine sits about there after I’m all set up drive it around make sure there’s no squealing noises. Check and see how much belt deflection up and down between the both clutches Approx 1” up and down.

The sled should not creep, you need to open the secondary a bit more with the adjuster.

I should clarify. On the stand it creeps, but have not had it off the lift. I don't think the sled itself will really move forward when it's on the ground. There is no squeal. Thanks

It always moves on stand but on the ground no I listen for squealing to make final adjustments when tweaking that’s how I set it up. If any of that info helps you great.

You should be right in the ballpark then. Mine will also creep on the stand.

Is it brand new belt? Which belt is it? If you changed to a different belt, other than what you already had your sheeves set up to,than it may take some playing with adjuster,i have same adjuster, just losen set screw, and turn clockwise to open sheeves up some, tighten back up,than run sled on stand, make sure to engage sheeves enough to move belt up and down several times, apply brake, than release and see if it still creeps. Put sled back on level ground while running, and listen for squeeling noise,if quiet ok.

It's an 8 JP with a little over 600 miles on it.

That's a great belt for top speed, but when it gets around 1000 miles do yourself a favor and replace with another new one, that is if you are tuned.
