How do I set the belt deflection on my GT. I noticed my belt is sitting pretty much even on the secondary and would like to try and get it up as high as possible without having the track to rotate. Also, is it too late to wash the existing belt after I already have 55 miles on it?

There are three (3) bolts on the back of the secondary that require an 8mm wrench to loosen. Remove the bolts and add shims to tighten the belt deflection. You can still wash the belt yet as well.

Just checked my deflection per Ulmer Racing. 100 miles and the belt was loose. Added .030 shims to get it just right. (belt just slightly moves at idle while on the stand) ![Div20 ;)! ;)!](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/div20.gif)

Hey rotax just get some small washers,i used .060 or 1.5 mm for mine,as it came w/zero shims and needed them bad,but u can try .040 or 1mm so just grind off some of the o.d. of the washer if it is to large so it fits under the bolt w/out hanging up as u tighten it up.

I used stainless 6mm washers.
