If I brake hard, let off the brake and then immediately get back on the throttle (exiting a corner) my primary clutch slips on the belt. I have noticed that if I have my sled up on a stand and get the track spinning the belt does not come all the way back up in the converter when I let off the gas. I've thoroughly cleaned the converter and I've tried more spring preload and a new belt and it still does not come up in the converter all the way. I'm running stock clutching with a Schmidt Bros comfort kit. ???

if by converter, you mean secondary, or driven clutch?? did you put more preload in the pimary or secondary. did you have the secondary off??

when youu traveling fast the belt is low in the secondary, and when you lock up the brakes the secondary stops moving, therefore it cannot come up to the top, so when you get back on the throttle it is too much of a gear ratio and results in the belt slipping.

if you have not yet taken the secondary apart i recomend you do. i can also bet its completely shot and not worth rebuilding.

to solve this issue allow the sled to roll for a bit and stop naturally without touching the brakes. if the belt doesnt come to the top you have something not right in your secondary clutch.

Also could be belt is just wore and secondary needs to be shimmed.Like said though cleaning and polishing does wonders.
