I have been running Scott's products a LONG time LOL! Follow his recommendations and you'll be happy with the result. I have Triples on my XTC, Viper, Venture and Attak. lot's of differences in ski's and setups, but he nailed every one of them

Tantrum, are you studded? I run the 8" triples (with 3/8 savers and 1/4 shims) with 144 inner & outer studs and it seems like a perfect balance.

I am not shimmed and run 6" triples, 3/8 savers, with the Cobra track no studs. Only in extreme hard pack have I seen darting. Hindsight, I would have done the 8"

I have 8" tripples, 3/8 saver, what ever shim Scott sent with them. Darting nearly gone turns well. I have 144 studs.
Interested in comments without the savers. ?? just less carbide pressure leading to more mph and mpg ? Any sig loss of handling ? If not I can kinda see this.......... less carbide pressure less drag etc.

Anyone else running them without studs or ski savers? What length?
I just got mine.... 8 inch with ski savers for my FX Nytro. Have not had a chance to use them yet (no snow) but would like your feedback

First two seasons ran 1/4" shims, 3/8" ski savers and 8" triples Camoplast Ice Ripper and she cornered like she was on rails without any discernible hunting.
This year, Scott has recommended 3/8" shim, ski savers and 8" triples and I can't wait to get a fresh set-up on the sled as there was a noticeable difference as things started to wear.
Would need some serious convincing to switch to a different set-up!!

How many miles are on the set you are changing out? I put about 1800 miles on my 8"triple points last year which included plenty of riding on dirt, gravel, rocks, asphalt, & concrete. Mine still look fine, I figure mine are still good for a couple more seasons!

I am. I didn't like them. It seemed to push more and I thought my mileage was worse with the savers. I changed from the 4" triple points to the 8" this year. I had the sled out today for the first time and did not notice much push or darting at all.
