I have Slydogs and the studs on the skegs are off a little bit. I can't get em on. 2 studs will go in but the other 2 seem to be off by about a 1/8". Also, 1 skeg has a stud that is off center. It took almost 3 weeks to get these and I can't even get em on.

With regards to the shims Scott sent me; do I screw them into the bumber or do I use glue or both? Appreciate the help.

I just got a set of new 9 inch sharper bars. i had to bend all 4 bolts on both of them to get them to fit. It just takes some finesse. i'd screw the shims to the skis. Maxdlx

I wonder why the shims aren't the entire width of the bumper.

I'll put em in the vice and see if I can move a bit.

I ordered 2 sets a couple of weeks ago, one set doesnt fit any of the skis I own and both were single carbide, I ordered triples. No I havent called scott yet, I am sure he will make it right.

whats the best way to move the studs without trashing the threads?

I'm sure he'll make it right as well. I just don't wanna wait another 2 weeks.

Clamp the bar into a vice with the threads sticking up. Thread on a supplied nut. Clamp a vice grip onto the nut and bend it in the desired direction. If you do no posess "POPEYE" arms...use a hammer.

Dependingon his jig and or how he welds them together they can and will be a little off when they weld these together anywhere the heat will distort and may be off a bit .Give scott a call he is a great guy to talk to and i am sure will take care of u JMO Mine should be here tommorow and cant wait to go try them.

Thanks guys!!

I glued and screwed...hey now!! ;)!

I viced, nutted, and hammered. ;)!

I'll put the skis on in the morning when the glue is dry.
