bergstrom tripples came with ski saver for curve skis. i dont know if thats standard issue or not but the curve ski already has a cutout for the carbide.
do i still install the ski saver? it will make the carbide stick out more...
also theres a natural curve to the new carbides but my old ones came out straight, does that matter?
please help a newbie
thanks

I also have the Curve/Bergstrom combo but haven't installed them yet due to lack of snow.
I plan to use my savers as they will help with wear, but my concern is they are at least a 1/4" wider on both side when installed.
No issues with the curvature, they will form to the ski when the bolts are tightened.
Did you also receive 2 different shims and do you plan on installing them?
I am, due to some front wear bias I noticed on my previous carbides that came from Curve.
Can't wait to try this combo out but things aren't looking good so far

i used the 1/4" shim and ended up installing the ski savers. my original carbides that came with the curves were extremely worn out, should be a huge difference. also had alot of front wear on original curve carbides

been running triple points with savers and shims on pilot 5.7 skis for two seasons now. Love the setup. wasn't sure if it was worth the money UNTILL this season came around. The conditions have been horrible all year. we have been riding on very, very thin snow and i can report that my triple points STILL look brand new upon inspection. After last weekend's 100 miles i really thought they would be shot, but to my surprise, they still look great!
