You're absolutely right. I couldn't have been happier with the service or products.
Even after I ordered all the stuff for my Attak he asked me if I had any other sleds, I told him yes, a little Poo 340 for the kids. He threw in an extra set of shims because he wanted them to be able to steer safely. You don't find service like that out of a catalog.

I've got about 2500 miles on my Bergstrom's and they're still holding up well. I ditched the ski savers as they cost me huge top end from the increased drag. When I finally wear these out I'm going to get them again.

I HAVE TRIED THEM BUT I FEEL THE STUD BOY DEUCE BARS ARE MUCH BETTER IN CONTROLING THE APEX QUIRKY DARTING.

kinda funny cause I had the same problem with my F6. I was riding the rr bed and the conditions were great. 105mph all day long........went home and saw the ups box with my new carbides and ski savers and shims. Installed it all an about an hr later 98mph!! wtf?? couldnt figure it out. pulled off the ski savers and right back to 105mph!! couldnt believe it. They do work well with the shims to prevent darting but Id imagine they would affect mpg as well. This was my first hand experience with them.

Great I just bought Bergstroms and ski savers to get rid of the darting on the fricken pilots. I might just as well go back to the doolys. At least they don't dart!

DARTING / SHIMMING
THE SHIMMING WORKS WELL BY ITSELF. I SUPPOSE IF YOU SHIM ABOUT 3/8 INCH AT THE REAR OF THE SKI RUBBER YOU WOULD ELIMINATE 75% OF THE DARTING. I AM RUNNING THE STUD BOY DEUCE BARS WITH ABOUT 1/4 SHIM AND IT'S AS STEADY AS A ROCK. TRUE THE PILOTS WILL ULTIMATELY CARVE BETTER, THE STOCK SKIS ARE DECENT WHEN SHIMMED WITH THE DEUCE BARS. THE WOODY'S DOOLIES WORK GREAT UNTIL THEY LOAD UP THEN THERE IS ZERO GRIP AND YOU PUSH WORSE THAN STOCK.

kotapug, you will only notice the darting when you get on a trail. You won't have darting in fresh snow. Even shimming doolys will help them. Shims only do so much though. To get rid of the darting on groomed trails it will take deuce bars, doolys or ski shims with shims in my opinion.

I run stock skis with 9" sharper bars. I ride groomed trails and the only darting I notice is one deceleration. The darting I experience is really not worth mentioning. In my opinion, I think the darting comes from rear skid set up. I have mine set to max transfer, hense no darting.

I have a question for you.
Where is your toe set on your skis? I have my stock skis at zero and I pull about 2-3mph on Sportfury. His are at about 3/8 out at the tips of his skis.
I have installed a set of powderhounds and bergstrom carbides with out the savers and will be trying them out this weekend. I did buy the savers but they had none in stock when i ordered and will be shipped to me when they are made. Then i will try them out to see what happens.
Myself the darting does not bother me that much.

What are people set their toe at with a set of powderhounds w/bergstoms package (carbides and ski savers) or for that matter what ever brand of skis you are running?
