Rox anti-vibe riser. Absorbs some of the shock from the big hits too......watch the cable routing. Check hard left and right turning.

Hi,
I just put in a 2" rise and no I am having issues with the throttle positioning sensor. If I do down suddenly or turn right it starts up by not running properly and I have to wiggle the cable to get it back to the proper position.
did you run into this issue require help.
Sorry I am new to this and no sure how to post this question.
Thanks.

You are probably getting a TORS signal versus a TPS problem. Readjust the throttle free-play per the Owners Manual. Then double check it when you turn hard left and right.
You may have to reroute the throttle cable a bit.

Hi,
I will give that a try tomorrow gets pretty scary when that throttle gets stuck and jumps then starts to run bad.
Appreciate the help.

riser issue
Definitely the TORS system kicking in. I just went through this mixed with other issues making it harder to resolve. I tested the theory with TORS by recreating the problem with the hard right turn. I found the cable was strained in that movement and the throttle gap went to negative. This engaged TORS when the throttle was released and caused the engine to maintain the 2,800-3,000 RPM as described in the service manual. I ordered an RX1 Mountain cable to get the extra length, since the extenders were a hassle on my son's sled.

The cable just allows for greater movement without strain. The WOT as I was told is controlled by the TPS, which is another issue. The cable is on order from Yamaha, which was less than an aftermarket...strange enough. I buy from Yamaha Sports Plaza in Oregon. They give a huge discounts under list price. Most Dealers in MI charge OVER list pricing.
