Aftermarket skis are like black magic ,people like there aftermarket skis for is particularity.
It depend what you are looking for:
1 floating in deep powder
2 dart free
3 maximum turning capability
4 ease of steering
I don't have aftermarket skis but the one that got my attention is the new "CURVE XS " skis,this skis have good reviews from member of this site.
Check the reviews from a member name "HONDO"

I have an 08 Phazer RTX.....I'm considering some yamaha mountains skis with Bergstrom 6" Triple Points (savers & Shims). Wanting to keep the front up on top of the deeper stuff.

Curve XS skis are by far the best all around ski I have ever used.
They are by far better than:
* Stock skis
* DOO precisions
* Mountain skis
I used the mountain skis for the majority of the season. Unfortunately I found Curve XS skis after completing my Guinness Record. Wish I had known about these skis sooner.
The skis ignor other ski tracks and eliminate darting. The sled handles much better through the corners. You have much more control in a turn. No need to anticipate the sled pushing to the outside. The sled responds superbly. Whatever line you choose the sled will stay on line.
These skis function great in all types of snow conditions. Hard pack to slush.
If you choose mountain skis you loose a tremendous amount of trail capability. I am just being honest in my evaluation of both products.
Curve XS skis provide very nice floatation in deeper snow conditions.
Curve XS skis also steer much easier on trail and off. The geometry of the ski works excellent with the sled in deeper snow conditions.
Here is a video in spring conditions. My brothers girl friend wouldn't get off his Attak. She loved the Curve XS skis. So, If you have a girl friend that rides; be warned; you may not get your sled back...LOL...
Here are a couple of videos:
Sean and Nick at Curve Industries are great guys!!! They will treat you right!
In addition, Sean and Nick have done alot of FX Nytro testing. They know what they are talking about.

This ski concept is one innovation that has put more fun into snowmobiling for me. I like being in total control.
Here is a DOO review as well. The key words are: "accurate handling" and "very predictable".

Hope this helps.
