The Yamaheater with Boost allows you to adjust your warmers via the factory controls. When the warmers are off (no bars) the LED will be red which means the Yamaheater is at full power. When you adjust the settings (1-8 bars), the LED will be green. The Yamaheater will "boost" the factory setting when running 1-8 bars meaning more heat from your grips. I normally run mine at 3 bars, which is usually warm enough for 12F.
Thanks for the info. I can't wait to feel the difference.

Yup I was freezing my hands in -10c so I bought the Yamaheater with boost and it was a drastic improvement. Then one hand warmer burnt out and then installed Rsi warmers with factory wiring, and they work great. Riding in -25c with warm hands!!!

I've been riding for the past 3 seasons with gauntlets and just glove liners or light mechanics gloves even in sub-zero cold. I love them.
Last month I finally got my wife to try them on the Phazer, and she was sold right away. Much less hand/thumb fatigue using the light gloves instead of thick riding gloves.

Rock was bang on...called him up and he said once I get my grip off, there is going to be a kink it the circuit somewhere...truly and very knowledgeable guy!
He recommends the RSI (wiring as per instructions...6 ohm)+ Yamaheater and boost setup. Really hope this is the end of all my cold hands..those stock grips were a huge PITA to get off without damaging!
with the $40 rsi hi output grips you do not need the yamaheater. Out of the 8 bars I can only tolerate 3 bars of heat. have to put it down to 2 and 1 sometimes. I still kept the gauntlets on.
I have never had that much heat come out of handwarmers on any sled.

anything to stop the wind on the back of your hands . especially when you get down below -10 , usually hot grips = sweating hands then you get cold hands. I found some kinda like half gauntlets called "coldguards" mine actually fit behind the stock hand guards and blocks all the wind. works great
