Wondering what everyone thoughts are on upgrading the 03 rear end. I don't want to lay out the cash for a M10 or expert X just yet.

Shock, mono skid, re-valve, etc? Thanks!

Look for a used Arctic Cat skid for a couple hundred bucks. Do a search on here. Lots of info! If you are on a real tight budget, go with the transfer kit for $50 from MPI.

Black 1000 are you confused or did your "?" key get stuck? Yes, the transfer kit from MPI! It makes the shocks work independently from one another. Probably the best upgrade you can do without going aftermarket.

I am very confused all the time. Where do I get this transfer kit and do they have a web site???

Black 1000; if you do a transfer kit on your proaction, you will have problems;

1) it will cause track ratcheting.
2) It will increase stress on the front arm, which may result in premature failure and possible damage to your track.
3) This is for mountain riding ONLY and will reduce ability to control on trail.

A good setup on the proaction will work VERY WELL. By now, your shock(s) are probably worn, get a new main shock (get one thats rebuildable) and have the front rebuilt.

WOW my sled must suck. I have ohlins and mtn perf strap kit. rides great, transfers awsome, have never broke a w arm yet, never cracked one either. Can't wait to get a good skid someday. Oh well. Maxdlx

I know where this is going...Time to get a new sled.

I agree, dump the stock skid, it just blows.

There's a damn good reason why Yamaha dealers ate up so many Expert X and M10's in 2003!

I installed a Polaris Pro-X rear skid with dual adjustable Walker Evans shocks and I haven't looked back since. The skid cost me $400 and I don't care how many shock, springs or transfer kits you put on a ProAction, it's not going to ride like this thing.
