Frequently have a passenger on back with me, just wondering what would be the best shock for that? Have fox float 2 now and it's not cutting it. Thanks!

Someone here said they put the overload springs from the two up version on there 141. That would be best solution.

You need Heavy torsion spring... It really work great when you have a passenger. I had put a set on my 2016 Ltx-Le last season and I'm really satisfied of it but my wife have buy her own Sr Viper. Then I don't need them anymore. I put it for sell in classified section if you are interrested.

XTX has no torsion spring. Like Cannondale said some sort of overload spring like the two ups have. Would probably be the best setup. You need Heavy torsion spring... I was thinking of switching to a fox zero pro coilover shock. Anyone have any experience with one? i believe it comes stock on an arctic cat xf800 lxd

You are maxed out on air pressure in the fox when riding double?I was thinking of switching to a fox zero pro coilover shock. Anyone have any experience with one? i believe it comes stock on an arctic cat xf800 lxd

Yup its at 150 psi, it compresses and then stays stuck down when its cold. Its my second one that has done it and there's less than 1000 miles on it. I was thinking a coilover would have better rebound since it has a spring.

It's sounds like your shock is defective. You checked the pressure with track off snow? Coil over would definitely be more reliable. All the overload spring are made for the coupled 146 skid so would be custom job to install.Yup its at 150 psi, it compresses and then stays stuck down when its cold. From what I've read an arctic cat lxr shock can just be swapped right in for the fox float 2

XF LXR yes but dont forget the LXR has the softest of the suspensions. Many of the Cat guys did not like the rear coilover when riding single even. They put the Hygear Linkage on and were happy. Both the LXR Coilover guys and the SnoPro float guys. Now it is generally agreed with the Vipers that Linkage is the ticket also. You may be $ ahead if you just get the Linkage and ensure your rear shock is working properly.

so instead of getting the coilover shock just keep the float and get the linkage?

I just think the fox float is no good because I'm not the only one that has the problem with the shock compressing then staying compressed.

I have a 2016 XTX LE. My suspension shock does the same thing. My flap rubs the trail.Yup its at 150 psi, it compresses and then stays stuck down when its cold. I contacted ELKA and they have coil over shocks for the XTX.
Although we do not have a listing for the 21016 on our price list, we do have shocks available for it.
We have both Stage 4 or Stage 5 available:
Stage 4: $699.99 US
