Rember the C&A's are 'tunable'. Don't just think they are junk just because you take them out of the box and you don't care how they handle.
They are a very good ski! (as are many others) Too many people like them for them to be junk. You WILL have to adjust your suspension and steering to get them set up perfect. Almost nothing is perfect right out of the box and simply bolted on. Spend some time playing with your set up and you will be a happy camper! (don't and you may not see the full advantage of the new skis)
Most of this is true with ANY ski and performance parts in general. Every change effects something else.....

Thank you,Would you say I should tighten my strap up to the one hole?

BETHEVIPER, I'm somewhat interested in the Kimpex Arrows as well. I love the design. Do they have a thick profile and IYO a durable ski? What width would they be? Where did you find the cheapest price?
they have one defect I can see, they are noy very wide. I do wish they made a wider version. roughly stock width. if you off trail, dont do it with these skis. In all other areas, they outperform every other ski i have used.
someday i hope someone makes a ski that makes me say these ones suck.
the pictures on the web make them look like they are thick. they really are thin. skis have a nice look to them. stock handles can be modified to fit so they look stocker.
Like I said, do not buy these skis if you ride off trail, you will be sad.
I have heard good things about the razor versions of c+a pro. I try to stay away from skis that run an exposed carbide. Too many rail road crossings, curbs, and rocks around here. I bent a trailing arm this year using simmons that had a chipped carbide. amazing how much stuff can bend when the ski doesnt keep moving forward.

Is the kimpex arrows a dual runner? They also make a nice looking single runner ski that looks like it will stop the darting. Many dual runner skis that I have tried increases the steering effort.

They were the 1st. thing I got rid of on my Doos. I think there are far better aftermarket choices than Pilot skis.

Well I havn't seen anything about the Curves on here yet. The more I look at them the more I'm considering them. Their cust. service seems second to none, and I like that they are involved in T.Y. My only concern is the width of the ski. Anyone have actual measurements, front width, center, and rear, since they are parabolic. I just don't want to spend 500 on something that isn't going to help deep snow riding as well. Not that I plan on doing a great deal of it, but my USI's worked so good it took any fear of off trailing I had out of the sled. With that I understand the design requires a slightly narrow ski to utilize the parabolic shape.
Any thoughts?

I ran USI X2 Triple Threats on my Revs for the past 2 seasons and have never used a more tunable on/off trail ski. I'm going to use the same thing on my new XTX, just keep experimenting until I get the set-up that works for my riding style.
The Curves look interesting, but it is hard to drop close to $500 on something you hope is going to work? That being said, there are a lot of positive reports here on TY.

I had to put the C&A Razors on my Attak in 06, and loved them. I recently purchased another set from a TY moderator, and put the better ones on the Attak, and the used ones on the Nytro. Even with wear the C&A Razors work great on the Nytro.

Thanks for the info BETHEVIPER. There's not a whole lot of info on these skis out there, seems a lot of people seem to dismiss them because they are from Kimpex.
if you do a search, i gave a short review of all the skis i have tried so far.
this winter I will be giving a set of powder pros of a friend a good flogging. I really like them when I used them on his sled.
the arrows turn very easy, easier than the stock ski
simmons and precision turn hard at slower speeds because you are lifting the sled as you turn,,thus,, more effort.
one thing the arrows dont do well is off trail they are narrow
curves are very good off trail, they are 7 inches wide at the ends good flotation.

Sorry guys, all ski's will dart. Some just have less tendencies then others. If you hit some almost frozen ski tracks, your gonna go that way.
I have C&A RZR's and like em, they definitely are a bitch at low speeds tho. The cure for that is to PIN IT! C&A's are a super simple design and that makes them really tough. They will likely outlast your sled.
Simmons/precision type skis are #*$&@ because they don't cut down to the hard stuff underneath the fluff thats sometimes on top of the trails. And in powder, HA.
Stick with a good single keel design like the C&A's and other mentioned here.
Note that it's always a trade off. an aggressive ski that carves hard is going to steer tuff. A less aggressive ski will steer easy but you can't depend on it as much.

thankyou for pointing this out, Even the arrows I have will eventually dart some day when I happen onto some arrow tracks from the night before that refroze. For now though, they are amazing and actually track like other skis claim they do. Now if they would just make them wider, kimpex, you listening? probably not.
on your c+as you should try the 1/3 pipe trick under the front bolt on the carbide. or the other thing that will make them to not dart is to use cat offset duallies. a great carbide
as far as what works in the snow, just look at snowcross, if want to ride like they do in a corner, ride on what they ride on, C+A dominates snow cross(in simmons and others defence, they dont allow two runners).
Cant waite for snow, need to ride more than this computer.
