Best way to straighten a tweaked sub frame?

Bumped into a tree with the lower left A arm. A arm looks ok, only slightly bent but it's definitely pushed back a bit from the right side. I can see a crease in the flat area of the sub frame with the big circle in it, between where the lower a arms mount to so I'm pretty sure it's tweaked a little bit.

I'm thinking about hooking the bumper up to something stationary like a tree or another truck, then attaching a strap from my truck to the lower left a arm and gently pulling. This Ok?

I have tried the strap method and it worked for me BUT found the prying method to work much better. I have 5ft pole (metal fence post) aka "the nytro straighter" that I stick between my lower arm and upper arm by the spindle. Just give it 4-5 pulls and it will go right back. Either way you do bend it back the next thing you slightly hit it will just bend back again. I have had to bend mine back 3 times this year in 800 miles. I have also had luck by hitting something on the other side:)

I'll give that a try. I'm don't plan on hitting anything else this season so I'm sure I'll only have to fix it this one time... :)

I never really hit anything else, just big bumps on the trails or a long bumpy trail. Seems like if you hit it just right they tweak easily.

The pry bar method mentioned above ^^^^ works perfect ! Had to do it a few times myself. Sounds prehistoric, but it works ;)!

Yep prey bar - should come with the Nytro or at least as an option. :die

;)!
I never leave home with out "the nytro straighter" :-o I guess I would rather carry a pole around then a extra motor.

sounds good, i'll give it a go tonight.

the reason I'm asking is that it seems like ever since I hit that tree the sled doesn't want to lay over to the left side. it feels like it's fighting me and laying it over to the right feels way easier.

you guys think this is a mental thing or could this really be happening?

Good Point!!!! :4STroke: :yam:

Make sure your A-arms move freely through the full travel and they are not binding. Probably just mental.

The only time there straight is when you pick em up from the dealer...

I dont think the 10 subframes are much better.

the big question is that of those who reinforced theirs are they holding up?

did that create any problems by reinforcing?

Did something else bend instead?
