best Yamaha parts clutch config for XTX general use???

The 14.5mm rollers lower engagement & grab the belt harder at acceleration & low speed. You get rid of that low speed belt slip.

You may like the lower engagement & not want or need engagement shims.
Run a stock Yamaha 47 helix...you can buy for around $25.

Can I get the shims from a dealer? What is the part number for the engagement shims.

Ok guys what skill level is involved with install of one of these clutch kits? I know very little about clutching but I know it's an area of major gains in performance of a sled. Can I learn this stuff quickly or do I need to be a technician? Should I just stick to stock clutching on my XtX or try one of these kits. Please help a clutch virgin!!

any body got a pic of there ulmer kit installed? comments on how easy it is 2 install? just wondering.

I would say that it is on the easy side. Here are some pictures of my new XTX with the kit. Note on my old 08 nytro it was a lot more complex with the stage 2 kit that had the different gear and chain. On my new sled the primary spring and weights were changed along with the helix on the secondary.

Ulmer also has a great instruction sheet with tons of pics on their site. Shows everything you need to do.

Turk the 14.5mm rollers lower engagement easier to control sled in the twisties and great acceleration, does the 47 helix help with top end? i ride lower and upper MI with trails, off trail, and some drag racing. i would like to clean up the hesitation on the bottom and gain on the top. trying to hang with my buddies f7. And don't want to spend too much money. i don't know much about clutching so something you throw in and forget about it. any advice would be great. thanks
