cut it out with a dremel, thats how i just got the outer ring out of my rx1 this weekend but now i think i have a bent jackshaft on top along with a new bearing.

well I got it. That little bugger is a PITA but it was kinda fun to disassemble something that is actually engineered well. I ended up taking the gas tank off and the top heat shield to get a chisel in there to get a good whack at it. Never did take the jackshaft out. Bad thing is I wrecked that super overpriced nut/collar ring on the rear of the bearing driving it further than I should have when I knew the bearing was wrecked....but cheaper than a rental!!!
