Bettter Quality Replacement bearings?

That's another thing I miss. Back in the 80's my Polaris sleds had a grease fitting on that driveshaft bearing behind the speedometer key that worked great. Every so often I would pump a few shots of grease in there and watch the water come out. As long as you kept that bearing greased you never had to change it.
Mxz''s too....just remembered I changed my son in laws track years back....same setup...grease fitting. #12 in the diagram.

Mine is all back together already....

So, can someone take all the measurements, so we can try to lookup a replacement that has a collar/locking system?

maybe someone already has done the research but I have not seen anything yet.

If there is a bearing out there with collar that fits, this will be something that we all should do.

-Shaft diameter/Bearing size(ID)
-Bearing size(OD)
-Width of bearing
-Width of bearing WITH collar, max allowable room we have for a collar inward(may need to modify/open up the bracket/seal on inside of tunnel)

I'll expand on Dan's idea.... buy ten bearing housings, mod it with a grease fitting in the beefiest area with reasonable access (or a remote access hose/fitting) source a bearing designed to accept grease from the outer race/housing. offer the kit as an exchange.

tightening the track is moot.... at any speed at all the track reeeeeeally wants to be in a circle, so it's tugging on the shaft. Conversely, the drive belt is tugging mostly in the opposite direction, but no matter what that shaft is not trying to live in the center of that "somewhat loose" inner race with air all around it. I promise.

I also miss grease fittings on those bearings but with the brake disc right there may not be feasible. Grease and brake pads don't mix well.
A locking collar would be great.
