Looking for 18 sidewinder
hello i am looking for ideal starting point for my new 18 ltx le suspension
I am 6’4 250 lbs
I am going to be installing pilot skis
Any info appreciated

I would say slightly aggressive trail rider

Settings for Sidewinder LTX LE:

Front suspension:

springs all the way loose… just tight enough to contain the spring in place with ski’s off the ground

Compression dampening= 1

Rebound dampening= turn left until it stops, then 8 clicks right (15 clicks is center)


Center/rear spring;

tighten spring until 3/4” of threads show between retainer nut and top of shock

Compression dampening=1

no rebound on center shock


Rear Shock:

torsion spring = 2

Compression dampening = 1

Rebound dampening= turn left until it stops, then 8 clicks right


Coupler blocks removed.

When u say no rebound on center shock does that mean turn left all the way till it stops then leave at that?

There isn't a rebound adjuster on the center shock.

I have run the blocks removed for 8000 miles on my viper and it put a small line in it after many miles.

The coupler blocks are on a shaft that goes from rail to rail just in front of the rear axle/trihub. It controls the transfer in the suspension. If you remove the plastic blocks and reinstall the shaft and align the flat side with the flat pads on the scissor arm it gives you a bit more transfer. To do it properly you need to put the shaft in loose, fully compress suspension to hold the flats parallel and tighten the bolts

Interesting, exact same setup found by fine tuning a little at a time. Handles great. No power steering needed.
