I just had one put in mine, havn't had a chance to ride on it yet. Im not sure of the part number but I think my dealer had a hard time finding it...

As I have said before, the "fat boy" spring was beyond belief. That made the sled I expected. :jump:

What are you tipping the scales at? I weigh mybe 200 with full gear, do I need it and the times that my 120 lb. wife rides it will it be to harsh of a ride for her?

Im 6'5" and just over 250 so just about every sled I have owned has had a fat boy spring and handle bar risers. Everything in this world is designed for the 6', 180lb guy. Sucks to be me... lol

I am 6', 250, closer to 265 with gear, the stock spring would bottom out (hard) on on small bumps. With the "fat boy" spring I can easily ride over the most whooped out trail in total control, and only bottom (soft) a few times. It should be even better when I have the rear shock revalved by Bruce (Pioneer Performance). I also forgot to mention that the "fat boy" spring is the stock spring for the 136" mono.

Mongo 1 - FYI the so-called "fat boy" spring for the 121" Mono-Shock models with the RA tunnel adjustment Kayaba shock is actually quite a bit heavier of a spring than the stock 136" Mono. The "fat boy" spring is rated at 6.5KG compared to the stock 4.5KG of a stock 121" Mono and the 136" Mono has a 5.0KG spring stock. Take a look at this post for info on all the optional springs offered for Mono-Shock models.

You are correct, I was looking at the wrong part number in my notes. I installed the 6.5kg/mm. The rage has a 5kg/mm spring. The heat must be getting to me. :drink: :o|
