Anyone know if we can use a block heater in the new SW? One of the best $50 I spent on my Apex and Nytro (Yamaha accessory) - makes for a much easier start on those cold Northern Ontario/Quebec mornings.

I cant see why not. Its just a matter of isolating the right coolant line and make sure it wont rub against anything. Added one this year to the nytro and I wonder why I didn't do it the first year I owned it. Makes things way better for the engine. MS

Finding a coolant line that is accessible and will work might be a bit of a challenge given some of the pics I have seen. Going to look at one on Friday - will take a look and ask some questions.

Got an up close look at the new SW today - don't think we will have the option of an online block heater on this machine

Just noticed the 2018 accessories catalog now has an inline coolant heater - much like the Apex/Nytor versions. Anyone install one yet?? Where did you put it and how does it work?? Last yr I installed an oil tank heat pad - worked okay but it never got really cold to properly test it. The coolant heater is likely much better.

Would like to hear from others as well.......
What oil tank pad did you buy? I have used a battery blanket and wrapped my nytro's oil tank. It works great. Between using the coolant heater and warming the oil. The sled starts great after a -30 night.
