Took the ole girl out over the weekend and after a 50 mile or so trek , put er to the bar... and blame! blew the belt. No biggie ,except it took out the bracket of the belt guard and ripped the sidepanel down thru the bottem! Unbelievible that that did that much damage by just snapping the belt. The sled was near-mint condition ,now I have to find a side panel , another expense I don't really need at this juncture of the season! also noticed the coolant hose rests at the bottem , ...Guess I'm lucky that didn't rip too. Yamaha couldn't of made that a lil better ,apparently they never blew a belt when testing...that will be the last gates belt I'll ever run! Hope I can find a side panel that wont brek my bank!

At least two guys sell used parts on this site: hibsham25 and LANEO Look for them under the Classifieds section of this forum. They should be able to help you at a cost MUCH LESS than new!

Blew a belt on my 06 Vector GT and ripped a gash in my unguarded radiator hose below the clutch...
Sucks! Feel your pain...

Somebody needs to offer a "kit" to cover the exposed hose. Plate with pre-drilled holes and rivets.

This happened to me last year on my10 vector took out the hose guard lower front panel was down on the trail for a hour finally we bent the hose guard back to clear the new belt limped back to the hotel that deal cost me 300 dollars in parts. New belt is wearing just fine.

I bent the guard plate earlier this year on my venture. Had to remove the lower side panel in order to straighten it enough to put the new belt on.

I drilled out the rivits when I got home so that I could bend the plate back the correct shape. I then re installed new rivits.
