Blown engine...:(

Well, here's a top end I've got sitting on my work bench...as you can see it's been pretty much destroyed... Wonder if the head can be saved? The cams did look good..

Ouch. What exactly happened to cause the engine to fail?

I believe it was ran out of oil..not sure...I just got it with a sled I ought the other day...Looks REALLY bad for that head..luckily I have another one...

Then you figure that it was a stuck valve that got bashed by the piston, broke off, and bounced around? Piston must also be shot, what does the cylinder look like?

Sorry to see that buddy. Now you definitively have to buy a built motor. How's your second engine?

Haven't had the time to check them out yet... Too much work around the farm....

I'll let you know..I'm thinking of just bying a motor that's already built for big boost, and build these two motors that I have into one spare motor....might need Olsen Racing to port one of the heads to see the difference...

I hope the other motor is in better shape than this one...will se when I open it up....
