blown fuse

Apparently, the fuse was blown. Put a 5 amp in and tried the cell phone charger first. Worked fine. She then put the adapter in and the light went on to let us know it had power to it. Then she plugged in her shield on her helmet. Light out and no power. I assume the fuse went again (enough of that, time better spent riding!) Must have a short in her cord from the helmet. Looks like it will have to wait until next season. We are both due for new helmets and it doesn't pay to spend anymore $ on this one for only possibly 1-2 more rides for the season. I have to assume the fuse must've went on my Apex too, then.

last year my son was driveing the wifes attack..and the thing just stopped...checked the fuses and it was blown...25 miles in a snow storm...buy the time we got it going there were no more tracks..he took off and saw sparks from the helmet wire...took it off..and no more trouble...good thing you have some sense...thats the last place most people check..

IMO - get the new shield cord and wire it direct to the battery with an inline 5A fuse. Then the acc. plug is always avaialble for the cell charger.

I had the same problem on my 2006 nytro after tracing the wiring found the shield cord was horting out where it bent coming out of the shield replace cord to solve the problem

its really sad when you go to a dealer and they put something like a cord for your visor....and they dont put a fuse....i am not a machanic...but why would they not..we pay for it...i put it straight to the bat and put a fuse....a fuse ....is that too hard for these dealers...
