Which one? I have 6
Well guy's, got the pipe in and went out blasting on the weekend. Rode about 150miles of trails and it worked well. It was so cold though that my boost meter froze. Noticed that it was snappyer. Figured that I had more boost going to turbo cause of better flow. Coming back through the lake systems gave her couple of blasts and openned her up a little bit. Low and behold the boost meter froze up or one of my lines got pinched since I replaced them all. When I got back, put it in the shop and found the line to the boost meter pinched. While checking things out I cracked the antifreeze container open cause I noticed the level had gone down a wee bit. Low and behold what do I see............ :o| the dreaded brown antifreeze. Not a good sign. I'm taking bets on what it could be. What do you guys think. Did not have any tools to check it out but this weekend I will do a leak down and compression test . Sure hope I did not blow a head gasket. I put some of that semi synthetic 0w-30 Yama lube into her before she went out. May be its pushing the oil threw.

From What I'm told it usually empties the bottle , and little black pieces are in the tank . I'm not sure how the antifreeze could become brown , unless you blew a piston too? it doesnt sound good . I think at this time you better hope its just a gasket.

if you have oil in the coolant I think it may be worse than a head gasket, doesn,t sound good.

I will know this weekend. How about the Water Wetter? When I changed the coolant I put some in there. Does it turn brown?

You could have got a little oil in the coolant (water jacket) when taking the head off and/or putting it on?

Well did the compression test on the weekend and found everything between 145 and 160 lbs. Not bad for a sled with 8400 miles of boost on it. I think that should be normal for stacked head gaskets. I think the brown came from some Stop leak I put in coule of years ago to stop a minor drip from a weld on the heat exchanger. There must of been some left in the system when I changed the coolent. Anyways flushed out the complete system and replaced with fresh green and presto. Everything was fine after a days trail riding. Even cranked the boost up and blasted on the lakes. What a relief. :jump:
