Blue/White RTX SE or Axys Pro S Switchback 800

I have not tried axys pro-s but I just got rid of pro r 800. I found it very tipy and hard to steer compared to viper. The 800 abviously had the power but handling to me viper way better. I put clutch kit, header and exhaust on viper and pick it up this Friday. If it goes like I think it will it would be a no brainer. Polaris has not had to much luck with thier engines last 3 or 4 years or so. That's why I went four stroke. I know about three people who blew engine last year alone on Polaris, but one was 600. The viper hit 106 without header and exhaust according to owner of performance shop. I know this year is a new motor for Polaris though lots of power and not to bad on gas was with one two weeks ago but he's not a very agressive driver and my viper was little better on fuel (totally stock) and carrying oil sucks.

Just blame the newbie for picking the wrong forum section. I'm getting the info I was hoping for here though.

Its all good... sometimes you get more then a comparison, you will get Polaris Guys jumping on and blasting the Yamaha... so we have to be careful on where and what is posted... its fine line to walk.

The viper is not really a sit back and cruise sled, you still have to ride it and hang on. That 4 stroke torque is a lot different than a 2 stroke from corner to corner.

I agree with everything everyone is saying. Clutching could use some work but it's very very fast out of the hole. Suspension to some people is very stiff. I'm about 195 all suited up and with the sled set up how it was from the dealer I loved it. Haven't even made any changes yet because I have no complaints! Yes it is a little slow in the top end but if your not riding lakes or grade all day it's not a problem. I top out my 137 ltx at about 85, but it will be the fastest 0-85mph you have ever felt! Handling is great(with anything but stock carbides) doesn't dart, and turns on a dime. I personally don't find myself cold either. I have the low blue windshield and stay plenty warm! With that being said I think the Polaris would be a fun sled and very fast, but if you want ease of ride (turn key and go) and good reliability the. Go with the YAMI!

The 09 Dragon has been slayed, road one last trip and it's gone in favor of a 16 LTX-LE Heritage Red/White Spring Surge model. Thanks for all the post and hoping for a nice change to Yamaha.
