The only thing I don't like about the Apex is the clips that hold the body work on,They seem as though under some serious moguls they would fall out,Does anyone know if they will change this for the production models????????

I was told at the demo ride that the only dzus fasteners being removed in production would be on the storage compartment flap. Which be changed to a flap with velcro.

I think they are changing something with the clips, maybe the washers so they stay in the panels better when you remove them. If they use the right pieces that receive the clip and they are strong enough I can't see any problems, they use this type fastener on alot of race cars.

Sorry Tork I did'nt relize that it was already discussed.Iagree that dzus fasteners are good,I just think that the way they fall out of the body panels when you undo them is a problem

thats the only think i don't like about the apex is those fastners. i bet they work good but they seem cheap to me and all the bumps, moguls, jumps that these sleds are going to see you would think the panels would move alot

Not a problem my friend. I just posted the link because I thought it would be helpful.
Those are the race car/motorcycle gold standard of quick release fasteners. Problem has been at the shows and demo rides that people do the 1/4 turn and then yank them out. So by the time the next guy goes to check them out they fall off in their hand LOL. Said something about a metal washer backer for production ones.

In that link is another link where you can get colored ones, and I buy my titanium and aluminum bolts there :D

I hope they make the fastners on the GT flat black. The bright chrome is too bright on the GT IMO. If they don't that might be on of my first cosmetic changes. Doug
