I love Grimms idea! I'm going to get the red tape out now! I remember driving behind these 2 stroke guys through into Quebec. I was getting a headache driving so slow and from 2 stroke smoke. Decidede to pass. Went off trail and punched her. There was a big ditch right there! I went over the handle bars and stuffed my body in the deep snow to about my chest before flipping over on my back. I started crawling up the bank thinking I really hurt myself. LoL But I was fine except for sore thighs where I bent the handle bars forward. Got out my tool kit and rearranged the bars and remembered to not go off trail... Except near home where I always drive. There have been others but...

Wow,I did the SAME exact thing 1st time I got my sled. Pulled up to a snow bank unloaded it and drove for about 10 feet before I smelt the burning rubber. I now have 265 miles on my belt and still looks good as new and no problems at all.Go with the snow said:Just bought a new fx nytro today, got a good deal. Was backed up to a snowbank ready to unload it from the back of the truck. Started it up and attempted to drive it off before realizing that the parking break was still on.(one of the many little things to remeber, like hitch pins.) I just decided to give it more throttle, bonehead move, couldn't even see the lever in the dark and didn't give it a thought. I drove it about 100 feet to the garage before i realized it. The buring rubber smell gave me a hint. Parked it in the garge, took off the clutch cowling to let things cool of and inspect the belt. Ive never had this happen to me before so im not sure if i should be concerned.
Also, if you want to make me feel better go ahead and post your own boneheaded moves of the past.

I had no idea so many people had made the same mistake. Thanks for the advice.

First ten miles on my Attak were with the parking brake between 1/2 and 3/4 on and that was only because the hand guards I had installed prevented the parking brake from being fully engaged. How's that for BONE-HEADED!!
