Where should I hook up the boost gauge to?The intercooler or the carb flange.I've got the cooler off again so now would be the time to do it.
i used the unused port on the throttlebodys they have a rubber cap on them

Ratpack,
Like spddmon mentioned, the carb flanges have ports and are very convenient, just make sure that your gauge won't get damaged from a vacuum signal if it is recommended that it only see boost...
The carb flanges will produce both since they are behind the throttle slides / plates.
I'd prefer the intercooler because that is where your carbs get their pressure signal from, and hence what is critical to your AFR's / detonation... so therefore obviously would be most important to monitor with a boost gauge. I was always told there is a pressure difference between the intercooler and intake flanges after the carb's or throttle bodies (pressure drop?)
My $0.02

The pressure in the intake boots is the true boost pressure that the motor sees, and if there is a pressure drop through the carbs it will be slightly less than intercooler pressure.
