I see a lot of information on suspension setups for boosted Apex, and RX1 models, but not a lot on boosted Nytros. Figured I better start looking into this since she will be back in a week or two. That way I can change things a little before it gets cold, or save up more for suspension parts. Here is the deal. It is a 08 Nytro RTX with a 136 Hartman extension on it. The rear is stock, with a revaled shock, new heavier shock spring from Goodwin, and fat boy torsion springs on the back. Also have a set of adjustable suspension blocks on the back. The sled will be set up with 16LB's of boost on a MPI stage 2 kit, a prologger for boost adjustment, and a four post clutch. The track is a 1-1/4 Ripsaw with four studs per window, and there are antiratchet drivers on her now. What is the best setup for the best transfer to the track, and the least amount of wheelie action? This is going to be basically for trail riding, and lake now and again. Is there something that can be done with the stock setup, or do I have to go with a new rear suspension M10, EZ Ryde etc??? Looking to also get input/help from the guys who have tried the MPI setup on their Nytro's. I know I am going to get ski lift with this new power. It is just finding out how to get the least amount of ski in the air, and the most amount of track to the ground. Which I am not sure if that is possible with just playing with limiter straps? Thanks guys

Check and see what the difference is from 08 to 09. I know the 08's wheelied like mad, but my 09 did not at all. Just hooked up and went. That was a 121" SE with a Powderlites kit and 144 studs. I actually loved the way the sled rode and handled the bumps.

Guess I might of worded this wrong. What is the best way to get the most out of a boosted Nytro RTX suspension? Without the sled constently putting up wheelies, while keeping the suspension itself intact, without 100% compression. Basically that happy medium between wheelie, and bottoming out the suspension? Can this be done with suspension blocks, and limiter strap movement?

not that i have found, i have been running mine since 2008, booster right out of the crate, i sent my shocks off to diamond head yamaha and had them re-valve the shocks! what an improvement! those guys rock!
my starps are set loose and the track is super tight, with avid drivers... i did also put in the stiffer side springs and have them set on shoft now that the shocks have been done!
still funnest sled ever! 121 boosted, hmmm
