Boot Question

I like the polar boots from yamaha never wet never cold and the flex when you walk

Klim Adrenaline GTX. They're pricey but well worth it. Warmest boot I've ever owned. Good ankle support too.

I have the Klim Adrenalines too. Great boot. Lightweight but very warm. Search around online for the best deal.

Depends on how cold your feet get I have a pair from RU Outside I love light dry warm enough but I'm very warm blooded. Wife's feet cold in the house at 70 Cabelas has these huge brown things that would keep a dead persons feet warm kinda look like old Eskimo boots very comfy but big and too warm for me

^^
RU Outside. Had the same pair for the last five or six years. So warm I don't even wear socks! Sometimes I have to take them off when I stop to eat or my feet will sweat and then they will get cold.

Baffin rubber boots. Good in super sub zero temps and great in deep slush.

Gonna need a new set of boots this year. I realize everyone's preference differs but just looking for what you guys prefer?

I bought the KlimArctic GTX as my feet would always got cold. I no longer get cold feet and they stay dry. Excellent boot for warmth and keeping you dry. They are probably a little bulkier than other boots but if that doesnt bother you then they have great ankle support at the expense of a little flexibility. Doesnt bother me as Im not about ot go running when I'm riding.

What you need to do first is determine what you're willing to spend, then what type of boot you need, then other entities like lace, boa, water-proof, warmth, then color, and any brand bias.

There are types of boots that are for semi-aggressive and up riding, cruising, and multi use.

I myself use HMK, for a few reasons, I like the boots, have indirect contact with the owner and so input is taken and used for future models, he is a big supporter of the causes that my family are involved in and they are just a great US company that put out a nice product. I use a Team Boa Focus, and love them, they are a stiff boot and will really only be useful as a snowmobile boot, I can't even drive my truck in them, but that's not what they're for. They make other boots as well which are less aggressive and will provide a bit more of a standard type boot feel. I may know of a few used pair in good shape that you could try out if interested.

Klim boots must be good as well, personally I've never used them but sooo many people have that there's got to be something to it. Obviously water-proof is their thing so rest assured that the boot will be that, all the gear except for my boots is Klim and again couldn't be happier the stuff just works. There boot however is just not what I'm looking for, not quite aggressive enough, and it used to be HEAVY, they've since lightened it up quite a bit but it also changed the design.

I've had buddies go with cheaper boots and their feet get wet/cold, the boots last a year and fall apart etc. You don't have to go with a $400 boot but at least get something that will protect you from cold and provide support. If you just cruise, or use you sled in a more utilitarian manner, a standard Sorel will probably be what you need. Start to ride hard, get air, pound the bumps and you'll need much more support.
