Were did the snaps come from? In all the other pics of the seat I have never seen those snaps.

The seat in your pic were prototypes made for Mountain Performance. There were only a few of those made. All production seats have the snaps. You may change your mind when you see it in person. I can tell you Im one of the pickiest guys you will ever meet, and i think the snaps look very nice...BBY

I think it looks nice and will be trying the install this weekend. My question, that I am surprised no one has asked, is how comfortable is it? Does it feel as comfortable as everyone says a Boss seat is? Does it feel like it sits 2 inches higher?

it definetely sits higher, to me the seating position is much improved. As for feel, it will be hard to tell the true feel until the sled gets a good 100 miles on it. There is a break in period for the seat. To compare, I have a 05 sitting in the garage and the 05 is a bit softer, but not a fair comparison until the Boss breaks in...BBY

That is not the original black right? Did you have that painted? Sure looks nice and would be nice if Yamaha would put a sled out in that color and not the charcoal black they have now.

That is the stock paint, i removed all those horrible yellow flame decals and added simple white stripes. no ofense to you guys that have the flames,there just not for me
