Has anyone tried to replace the bottom gear and found that it was not the same as the factory one? I got a 39 tooth from Hauck (no reverse) and it had a wider hub and came with a thin washer. I tried to install it one day in a hurry and could not seam to find a combination that would align properly. Hauck says to remove the big factory spacer and install the gear and the thin washer.

i put a team industries bottom sprocket on my 03 rx1,same deal, remove big psacer and install sprocket with thin washer behind it

Maybe that will be fine. I was in a hurry when I was trying to figure it out. I was trying to get it done beside a lake to race some cats. I think I remember 1 combo that was close but the gear stuck out past the axle more than the stock one. Is this normal?

No not normal,u you need to align them up even,if not your chain will get hagged out, i run poo gears, same thing, need to shim differently to get them to work, take your time and use a straight edge to make sure they are square to each other, also make sure that the gear you have that is not a yammi is a hyvo cut,not a 13 or 3/4 old style cut, they look alot alike, but dont fit up togeather, the hyvo chain will not sit down into the gears..
