I put 5800 miles on an 05 rage.I was getting board with it,so I started looking for another sled mainley an attack.Every time I found one by the time I could get to it it was sold.I stumbled on a 07 ski-doo mach z with 500 miles on it.I though I would try something different. It truely is a nice sled, handles great rides good is real fast,BUT it's to far forward for my knees. So I have a nice Mach for sale if any one is interested. And I have a new ltx to ride!

Congrats you will love it! I haven't riden the first generation vector but from what I have read the new ones are alot better in every category. I have 800 km on mine just did my first oil change, it is amazing. Can you post some more pics, from a different angle, I have only seen the red/black in the show room and they never look right inside..

I think it needs some red wheels under the skid also!

Red skid Plate along with the red idlers and rear wheels

I stripped the stickers on mine, put on some different graphics, and added some high quality red Doo idler wheels (still have to change out the rear ones). I also painted the front hood screen. I like the red on black theme, just didn't care too much for the stock graphics on the hood and side panels.

Hey Metallcat, how do you like this Yami compared to your old cats?

I tell you what, I don't miss my ZR one bit. I tried for 10 years to get that thing to handle good, to ride good, and to perform as expected. I swapped both front and rear suspensions out, put in a 711 big bore kit, rebuilt everything...and it still ended up being 1/4 of the sled that my Vector is. I had fun on the old ZR, true, but it isn't anything like the Vector.

That's a great looking sled! I have a feeling that this may be the last winter for my Nytro

Trucknut, Metallicat, What are you guys running for taller windshields?
I've been riding different Poo's for many years.
First sled I've ever owned thats not a Poo is this 08 Vector LTX GT, this sled rocks! I must say that this thing rides damn near as good as my last ride, an 05 Classic with an M-10.

Yup, mid-height from Yamaha here too. It offers quite a bit more protection than the standard mid shield.
