I have a stock 06 RTX. Recently revalved the rear shock and it is handling much better on semi smooth trails with small bumps. When it comes to larger ones it tends to bounce quite a bit. My adjuster cable is broken, so I have been manually adjusting the shock and I have it set to a softer setting. Thoughts? Do you think my pre-load it set too hard?

You need to crank up the shock on the adjuster and it will reduce the rebound of the shock and slow it down. But the shock over all does not have enough with that big of a spring.

Turn the shock setting harder as it adjusts the rebound.

Thanks, I will try that next time out. Did like the plush feeling I was getting in the smaller bumps but had a hard time keeping the rear end down in the larger stuff.
