Hi Guys,

Running a BOV on my RX1 , is the valve supposed to be open at idle? All this time I thought it was closed and now it is open. Idles great and runs good. Thoughts?

When the BOV sees vacuum the valve is pulled open by the vacuum. It's normal on many BOV's, and 100% normal on the Vortech Race Bypass valves, they are always open at idle on will not shut until vacuum is reduced to 1.5 hPg of vacuum.

what about it fluttering at idle (mine does)….sounds like a loose tappet on a V8 chevy…..is that not odd? -do I need a better spring?

It's probably barely open making that sound.
If it Works when you let off throttle I would not care much for whatever it does at idle.
