I know you dont want the BOV after the pitot tube.. problem is my setup DOESNT allow it to be after it, the pitot tube is 1" after the turbo outlet... problem is my BOV used to not open with to stiff a spring, I got the BOV to open now, but im loading up REALLY bad when i chop the throttle, like it takes a few seconds to clean out after i chop it = bad for tree riding.
I am redoing my turbo setup this summer, so I will be able to fit the BOV before the pitot line then, but for now... probably at most 1000 miles more this season, im wondering if there is no remedy the BOV post pitot jet system would it be better to just let some compressor surge go on for a while. I think the turbo will be fine for the amount of time I would be not having a BOV... just curious if there is a way around it. if not... double spring back in the BOV and its staying closed!! I just cant have it load up like that, makes it almost impossible to ride in the trees.. its even annoying on the trail!

Hmmm
Isn't your turbo a mitubishi? I think that the turbos that mcx uses have a bov on the compressor housing? Could you make something like that work?
I think I am having the same problem as you. I have room to add a BOV though.

no, there BOV is on the tank on the airbox... which is right where mine is.. I think I might tension my BOV up a little more and see if that changes things.. otherwise, its getting rammed closed for now.

This year i installed a Vortex blowoff valve on my bender Intercooler, i still run a smaller blow off valve which is just after my pilot tube. I was loading up bad because of the vortex being open on idle, DC5 from this site closed my vortex BOV on idle and it runs good now, and i run the trees.

Hmm.. yeah, mine flutters at idle right now.. I have 2 springs for mine, and I have the softer one right now, so I think ill install the stiff one and see what happenes.. right now i can hear it openeing if I back of the throttle any amount. So the thing really likes to load up when in and out of the htrottle.. I will try to swap in the bigger spring. I know with these things you cant just chop em like a 2 stroke after a big pull but mine is being a PITA... it happens all the time wheather you want it to or not.. nothing you can do to keep if from loading up.
It really sucked when i would be cutting a line up throught the trees and go in and out of the throttle and then stumble and lose all my power!!! problem is i cant keep the turbo WOT climbing or ill go to fast!!
