What is the plate called that you rivet into your tunnel to stop the ice issue? Ive tried tunnel plate, exhaust plate, tunnel exhaust plate, tunnel block off. I cant find anything.

The tunnel closure? Are you trying to find a place to buy one or a thread?

Either. I'm going to make my own about 30 secs after I see a pic of one. I cant figure out where to bend the plate to go over the headers.

Usually no block off plates are necessary for the Apex. Snow does not go anywhere. If youvdo make one, show fine pics plz!

well since im running a 1.75 im going to forgo it. But if one were to make one.
Remove tunnel protectors, remove brackets from the square tube, cut the tube to 49" make sure you mark what is the front ( before you remove the tube make a mark which is the front). By doing this your tube will butt up against the tin the headers go through and one of the holes will line up perfectly with the most forward hole in the rear of the protector the tunnel protector was originally riveted to. Once that is done rivet as you see fit down through. Then your going to need a piece of something ( diamond plate, tin.......) drill and rivet.

Hey Bulldog, just get out a dremel or grinder wheel and cut those tunnel protectors out ASAP. Then you'll be fine. With a 1.75" track the biggest issue is coming into contact withthe front cooler. But after you track is in there you should have 1/4" of clearance between tip of paddles and front cooler per my studies on this site. You should be good. Once your protectors are gone then you'll never pick up that 30++ pounds of ice back there, clinging to the protectors. Then you'll be good. Unless you run your track waaaaay loose, it'll never hit your exhaust pipes back there. No worries. Looks good, dude!

Oh there already gone. I was just thinking about putting a plate in. But from what you and 06 have said there very little room for any build up.
