I had a caliper freeze up last night while tooling around in the yard with the kids. During the day I had been doing a few to many c note haul downs and pretty much smoked the pads by the end of the day.
Anyways today I pulled the pistons out and holy #*$&@ was the fluid bad. I'm normally flushing that fluid once a season and get the bad stuff out but man there was a whole lot of bad fluid still in there.
It took me a while to rebleed the system but titling the handlebars and tapping on the caliper and the line release so many bubbles into the reservoir.
I know we say not to split the caliper because it is a bitch to bleed but for me it was worth it.
