heated visor shorted and i lost my taillight and brake light.
i have continuity from the taillight to the 1st disconnect. have continuity from the next disconnect to the disconnect by the headlight . have continuity from the next to the brake lever.
i am lost now. there do not appear to be any wires burnt. wired brake light direct and taillight and brake light work. there is one wire that runs from the brake harness to a small square box. dont know the proper name f this box but there are also 3 other wires running into it as well totaling 4 wires. this was the area where the visor wire shorted. any suggestions???

What circuit was the "heated visor" connected to? I had an issue where a load was connected to the "closest hot" vs. the right hot. Figure out how the visor was wired, was it hacked or correct and then you might find some clues... hopefully there is a fuse to replace.

That square box is a ground wire splice connection and are known to go bad. Pull the cover off and look for a burnt metal jumper in the splice block. The brake light is controlled by a ground signal so you may have a bad splice to ground.

thank you. I did look but couldn’t really tell. They looked fine but I think I’ll just replace it in case the issue is a little deeper than what I can see. I did check continuity and can ohm out one of the wires. thanks for the help

Thank you for the help. I will double check that connection. I looked but not closely. What circuit was the "heated visor" connected to?
