I have had my Bruin for 8 months, but have only been riding a lot for about 6 months, and I have worn out 2 sets of brake pads already. We have this "pond" on our farm that was originally built for cows to cool off in.. it's not really a pond but just a big mudhole. Since we don't have cows anymore it makes a great mudbog for ATV's. I wore out my first set of brakes by going through this mudhole a lot and using my front brakes when they were covered with mud. I changed them about 3 months ago, and have been trying not to use them too much. They were working fine, and this past weekend we went playing in the mudbog again. I didn't use the front brakes at all while we were in it this time, but they are grinding again, and the pads are worn out. Just wondering if this is normal and if there is anything I can do about it?? Changing those brake pads every 3 months can get expensive.
Thanks guys.

One thing, go with aftermarket pads and 2nd thing, it sounds like they may be out of adjustment......hmmm...stange I would contact the dealer.

Has anyone had better luck with one type of brake pads over another. SBS or EBC I see they both have extreme pads for mud running?

We sell the EBC brakes and have had good luck with them - get the ones with the SV rating. These are for severe duty and work good in the mud.

yea I run those EBC severe duty pads on mine all around on my Grizz and I love them! I'm going to try SBS next to see how they are, I've been hearing alot of good info on those pads. Some are saying they blow EBC out of the water when it comes to good wear! So I'll try them to see, if not I'll go back to EBC.
The only pads that disappeared fast for me were the stocks, those darn things didn't last very long for my type of riding!

I went with the SBS severe duty. I'll let you know how well they last. By the way they are cheaper also.
