Break In - 25 mph??

Thanks man, i wish someone was close that knew how to do it, I would gladly pay them.

I agree the rivets I could do but Im not crazy about taking the chain case apart and replacing the gasket. The sled is brand new and although I do most work on my machines I will leave it up to the pros to work on my new phazer. And since the sled will be at the shop they might as well do the rivets.

I got the low altitude settings installed and i really dont notice much of a difference. It does seem like my speedometer is off. Can the speedometer be calibrated due to the change in gearing?

I dont think you need to calibrate the speedometer with a gear change. reason is that i think the speed sensor is on the clutch side and reads the speed off the drive axle.

Thats strange because the sled still wont go over 25 mph (by reading the speedo) at 8000 rpms. I felt like I was going a lot faster than 25 mph when I rode it Saturday.

I am sure it can be calibrated. I just dont think it need to be done when you change the gears.

No it doesnt.Maybe reason at 8000rpm you are still doing 25 is that the clutches are just shifting out to a different position at 25 with gear change.Pin it and see the difference.
