Your lucky he didn't turn arounded and come after you. They don't need there horns to charge at you. Had one charge at my pick up truck going to Thunder Bay once. It took off the drivers mirror smashed drivers window and scratched the roof on the truck. I was so lucky. I stopped and he was standing in the road looking at me. I took off.

Had a scary situation quite a few yrs ago where I came across one standing sideways on a narrow trail.
I stopped immediately as knew I could not turn around and getting off my sled was out of the question as the snow was probably at least waist deep.
I knew my bud was coming behind me so I just waved my hand frantically while not taking my eye off the moose.
I was hoping my bud wouldn't say or do anything to spook him but as soon as he seen it, he shouted "holy F*ck, check that out"!! I nearly #*$&@ but the moose took a couple big strides and headed into the bush where he just stood there and looked at us.
Seen this pic a few yrs ago, if I remember correctly, the guy tried to pet it

I was alone when I was coming down the trail when I encountered Mr. Moose and did not know what to expect So I proceeded slowly to see what (He or she?) was going to do, and it started running away from me
So on my way back to Bingham on the the same day another Moose on a different trail what are the odds The pictures are of 2 different encounters

On a TY manitoba ride quite a few years back a Moose stopped the group after a few made it by her and pissed her off! She charged a few of them and scared the crap out of a couple guys.
I had to go and talk to her for a bit and calm her down. She then left the trail and let us carry on.
Moose are freinds and taste real good on the BBQ!

The moose is pictured here as is Sasquatch. I'm the guy with the camera beside the red and blue sleds!

I remember almost ramming into two moose on the Grassy Road Trail north of Shiningtree, Ontario with my SRX at 2am going high speed. Scary stuff!
