Take a look at cyclops long range leds. They’re pricey but look good

4300 light color cuts thru the snow instead of reflecting off of it. Makes it easier to see.
Very true. That's another thing the HID's are better at. NOT reflecting off the snow flakes.
My first HID's were in the 6000 range which unbeknownst to me meant whiter not brighter. Too white goes into the blue or infra red zone.
I found the 4500 range perfect

They get power from high beam+ on/off switch. Not very good in snow dust.

Are we saying that you cannot replace your factory bulb with anything else like a better LED? No HID either?

Rock said you would have to switch out the light housing to a Viper's to be able to run HID's. HID's in my opinion are a much better light. More focused in front from my experience on my Apex. LED's just seem to be "washed out".Are we saying that you cannot replace your factory bulb with anything else like a better LED? No HID either?

No, take a close look at it and you'll see why. Its a bunch of small "bulbs"

I added a Rigid brand LED light bar and wired it (with relay) to my high beam switch. Second season and it is awesome at night. Tons of extra light. Some pics of my mount spot on stock front bumper. Also added a separate switch so you can turn it off all together. Rigid was expensive probably close to $180 but well worth the quality. And it was there midnight series so it is darker and not as noticeable when off.
